I’m going to start off by saying this movie caught me by surprise. I went to the theatrical release of TMNT expecting disappointment and I was taken aback. This film was made for the fans of the original series and first three movies. I’ll give a brief overview of the actual film then on to the DVD features. My largest complaint for this film was that it was over much too quickly. The CG quality and choreography was exquisite and the inclusion of relics from past films made me feel right at home with the continuation. There are a few assumptions that fans will just have to accept, although you may not agree with them. This film begs for a sequel, and I am actually looking forward to it.

The DVD release of the film was not nearly as surprising as the film itself. I did appreciate the commentaries from the voice actors. The double sided (full screen, wide screen) disc is packed with features, and worth buying even if it was only the movie. I would normally deplore using a DVD to market action figures and video games. The disc contains a few deleted scenes and an alternate opening and ending. Over all the special features make the DVD price so much more affordable. I suggest any fan of the original series that they should own this film. I was extremely impressed with this film, and I wish the filmmakers of the sequel the best of luck. GO BUY THIS DVD!
