The Invasion
Rating: 3.5 out of 5

Invasion Of The Body Snatchers for a new generation!  Didn't they already to that with The Faculty?  Ok, Invasion Of The Body Snatchers for a new generation --- again!

Yes, this type of movie has been made over and over by Hollywood, but is this version any better?

Nicole Kidman plays Carol Bennell, a Washington DC psychiatrist who finds herself face to face with a mind altering organism from another planet determined to take over the world.  From the opening scene to the start of the credits, the movie will grab you by your arm and take you for a wild ride.  Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig are spectacular in this film, each adding a special touch to the film.  Daniel Craig's role was a little small, it would have been nice to see him throughout the film, but Ms. Kidman did another remarkable job keeping us entertained.

To me, an ending is everything... it can make or break a film.  Unfortunately, the ending in The Invasion seemed weak and unfitting for the movie.  It was like handling a stick of dynamite, lighting the fuse --- and nothing happening.  They build up so much during the movie that it would have been nice to have an even flow throughout.  I'm not saying they should have ended it with a sad ending, but maybe with a twist or two -- just to keep us guessing.

Other than that, The Invasion is pulse pounding excitement from the beginning ... to nearly the end.
