Out of all the characters you've created over the years - which one is most like you?

Stan: Just like me? I never really thought of this. They're all a little bit like me - they have all of my most wonderful qualities. (laughs) Reed Richards. Although I'm not as intelligent as him, but he talks too much.

Do you ever put yourself, loved ones, or real experiences into your comic books?

Stan: Not really. I may do it subconsciously - I don't try to do it.

If you had a superpower - what would it be?

Stan: If I had a superpower? I think immortality. (laughs)

Have you ever changed a part of a script because it didn't stay true to the character you created?

Stan: No, I don't have the ability or authority to make any changes. I just see the scripts after they're finished and ready to be shot.

So you're not a big part of the movies?

Stan: No, I'm not. I almost have nothing to do with them. Out of courtesy they send me the script. But that's about it.

Have you been happy with the movies so far?

Stan: Oh yeah.

Which one is your favorite one?

Stan: Oh - I think Spider-man. Followed by the X-men.

Have you seen the final product of Fantastic Four yet?

Stan: No, I can't wait to see it though. Actually I've only seen the trailers and the one little scene I'm in.

Do you know what we can expect from this movie since you've read the script?

Stan: I think it's going to be wonderful - if it's shot the way the script is. I met the director - which I'm very impressed with. I met the cast and think they're terrific. I have every reason to hope and expect that it will be a great movie.

Are there any upcoming movies that you are getting involved with?

Stan: I'm not really involved with any other movies, but I'm hoping that if they come out they'll have cameo's for me. I understand that X-men 3 will be shot in Vancouver - that isn't too far from me so I can fly up there to do a cameo. I hope to be in that one. I missed X-men 2 because that was shot too far away for me to go.

You probably don't know this - but I had to ask. Do you know when we could expect to see Gambit in an X-men movie?

Stan: No I really don't. I don't know who's going to be in the next one. Gambit is so popular - I wouldn't be surprised if they used him.

Since you worked for Marvel for so many years - did you ever read any other comic books produced by DC Comics?

Stan: I actually never really had any time to read any other comics. But what I would do sometimes is thumb through them - you have to know what the competition is doing. But to sit down and read one - I hardly ever did.

Are you happy with the way your career went?

Stan: Things have worked out. The most exciting part is right now - I have a new company and we're doing new original things... movies, television, DVD's, video games. I love being busy and I'm busier than ever.
