Silverhawks: Volume 1
Rating: 4 out of 5

Silverhawks launches on DVD this October, twenty-two years since it originally aired on television.  I have been anticipating this release for some time now, not knowing if they'd ever release it in the first place.

I'm sure a lot of people haven't even heard of Silverhawks, since it wasn't as popular as other programs at the time.  I assure you that it's a great show, especially if you were a fan of Thundercats or Transformers.

I'd hate to compare it to Thundercats, but it's hard not to, especially since it's from the same people that brought us Thundercats and even contains some of the same voice actors such as Larry Kenney, Earl Hammond and Bob McFadden, just to name a few.  Silverhawks is like Thundercats in space, only Thundercats was the better of the two... but Silverhawks is still as entertaining today as it was when I was six years old watching it on television.

Each classic episode shows how the Silverhawks (which include: Bluegrass, Quicksilver, Steelheart, Steelwill, and the Copper Kid) try to stop the villain, Mon-Star, a carbon copy of Thundercat's villain: Mummra, and Mon-Star's henchmen.

Great from start to finish, a timeless classic!
