Saturday Morning Cartoons:
1960's & 1970's
Volume 1
Rating:2.5 out of 5

I loved Saturday morning cartoons as a kid, and although I was raised in the 80's; I thought I could still appreciate what the 60's and 70's brought to the table when it comes to Saturday morning cartoons...

I'm putting both the Saturday Morning Cartoons: 1960's and Saturday Morning Cartoons: 1970's together to review because they are similar in almost every way; in fact, a lot of the same cartoon series are on both editions.

To me, this seems like their way of putting obscure cartoons onto DVD because they would never get a release of their own... then they would throw in a couple well known cartoons in there to guarantee the sell.  It was nice to have a variety of different cartoons on two discs, but some of them are so obscure and unknown to most that it would have been better just to release a collection of the best Jetsons cartoons -- or even Scooby-Doo.

Although I did enjoy many of the episodes on both sets; I'm going to have to give it a lower score based solely on the fact that there were many episodes that seemed out of place and thrown in there.  I understand that this is probably the exact format that they had in the 1960's and 70's; that's why I'm gad I was an 80's kid!
