Much like fine wine, Nigh Court only got better
as time passed. The first couple seasons of Night Court were decent to say the least, but season three
was when the show really began to shine. I don’t know if it was the addition of new and better characters
(including Christine Sullivan as the new public defender) or better writing, but season three is definitely worth checking
out!
This is the season for John Larroquette
(Dan Fielding) – season three (and possibly the show) was made better by the Emmy award-winning performance that Mr.
Larroquette displays in each episode. Much like the character Sawyer in “Lost”, Dan Fielding
is the bad-boy that you love to hate… and his portrayal of Dan Fielding is impressive even now.
Let’s hope that Warner Bros. plans on releasing the entire series on DVD
soon – if I remember correctly, season three was just the begging of great television that deserves its time on DVD.
