Another crime show has hit
the wonderful world of drama television, and now is invading the world of home entertainment with The Mentalist: The Complete
First Season.
First, let me say that I am not a fan of most drama television; I
feel the genre is played out and is now time to retire along with most reality television. There are only a few exceptions
to this when it comes to dramas (especially dramas dealing with doctors or criminal law) - in order to catch my attention
there has to be something there that is unique and interesting enough to keep me watching. The unique factor in The
Mentalist was the superb casting and the psychic abilities that the lead character has - sure it's been done before by
previous shows years ago, but it's a welcomed refreshing take on the idea.
The Mentalist
stars Simon Baker, a master manipulator of thought and behavior and a celebrity psychic. The main factor that grabbed
my attention while wathing The Mentalist was its star, Simon Baker. I've seen him in multiple movies, but I must
say that he truly shines in this role.
