Logan's Run
Rating: 4 out of 5

Being a futuristic film from 1976, Logan’s Run is still a visually driven science fiction film that is often overlooked by the mainstream today – even though many films since then have duplicated a lot of the aspects seen in Logan’s Run.

For its time, the graphics are quite impressive – which earned the filmmakers a special Oscar for visual effects.  Using a variety of paintings and miniatures, it’s nice to see such inspiring work pre-CG.

Some of the acting is often a little out there and unbelievable, but don’t let that keep you away from this early sci-fi classic.

In a diseaseless city where free sex is encouraged and old age is virtually unknown, Logan (Michael York) is a "sandman," one who enforces this radical method of population control (but he's about to turn 30 and he doesn't want to die).
