Call of Duty: World at War
Rating: 3.9 out of 5

Call of Duty is here again, it only seems like a year ago when Call of Duty 4 came out... oh wait... it did.  Personally I don't feel it was time to reveal Call of Duty World at War just yet, especially since the previous one is still one of the most played online games on the Xbox 360.  But they did, so here we are again talking about a brand new addition to an incredible collection of games.

Call of Duty 4 was my first full introduction to this franchise, and I still can't put it down... so I was eager to pick up and play World at War.  They had some big shoes to fill, and filling the shoes completely would have been next to impossible since Call of Duty 4 is one of the best shooters I've played since the original Goldeneye on the Nintendo 64.

Not much has changed with the gameplay; same idea, same online multiplayer, same useless allies... but instead of branching out and trying new ideas they have to create a game that has been made many times before... a World War 2 game!  Why not try something that has never been done before, at least for this franchise.... I would have even welcomed a futuristic Call of Duty over another WW2 shooter, or possibly a Civil War take on the game.  Because the game is very similar to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, I do recomment it, but if you have to decide whether or not to play Call of Duty 4 or Call of Duty 5, I would always choose 4.
