You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown
Rating: 2 out of 5

Charlie Brown and his loveable dog named Snoopy have never been a favorite of mine.  As a kid I used to watch the specials that would air on television, but only a few of them stand out in my mind today.  “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” is different from any other Snoopy related DVD release that Warner Bros. has released to date.  Based upon the hit off-Broadway play from 1967, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” gives Clark Gesner’s musical another chance to shine.  Some of the songs are very clever and imaginative, but seeing the Peanuts characters sing and dance seems very out of character for most, especially when it comes down to Snoopy’s big moment – it was very awkward hearing him actually sing.  I can’t say that I recommend spending your hard earned cash on this Peanuts DVD; I’d recommend Peanuts: 1960’s Collection before this title, but if you’re a fan of musicals and Snoopy, then this is for you.
