Charlie
Brown shorts have always been a hit or a miss in my eyes, either it can be boring or an instant classic such as "It's
The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown"... and this DVD is right in the middle.
The acting in all Charlie Brown films have been too monotone
for me, usually resulting in a long nap. "You're Not Elected, Charlie Brown" was able to keep my attention,
but probably only because I've never seen it before. Both shorts that are included in this DVD teaches kids important
life lessons that they can incorporate in every-day living. The first short is all about politics,
and being election month... I am tired of hearing the word "election", but it does teach us that winning is not
everything and how one person can make a difference. And of course, "Joe Cool" steals the show!
The second on the DVD is about dealing with bullies, something that really comes in handy when it comes to school children.
For me, this was the better of the two... being newer, it was more entertaining and a little better voice acting. Both
had clever jokes and storyline, but just not as good as other Charlie Brown shorts.
