Starting off is "Have I Got A Story For You", brought to you by Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Josh
Olson ("A History of Violence"). As it starts you will notice the amazing textures and background that this short has to offer,
but it dissipates quickly once you see the sloppy characters. It looks almost as if they spent all their money, which is money
well spent, on the scenery and just pasted together each animated actor. The story isn’t much to gawk at either, but
a good start to a very good DVD.
Second, we come to "Crossfire". This time the characters look great, and the acting is much better, a great
warm up for what’s to come later in the DVD.
"Field Test" is the third installment on the DVD, and is probably the closest you will get to an actual anime.
Filled with amazing action that only Batman can bring you.
"In Darkness Dwells" is probably the second best short on the DVD, featuring great appearances by Killer Croc
and Scarecrow. A great short story that will grab your attention from the start.
"Working Through Pain", a great time to grab a drink or a take a quick bathroom break. I’m not saying
that it’s bad, just not nearly as good as the others ... the story was missing lacking, and that’s a shame since
the animation was impressive.
Talk about saving the best for last, "Deadshot" brings it all and concludes the DVD like no other short can.
Amazing action, animation, and story make "Deadshot" a bullseye!
And I haven’t even mentioned the best part, the Dark Knight is voiced by Batman himself... by that I
mean Kevin Conroy. Kevin has been voicing Batman since Batman The Animated Series in 1992. And since then Kevin has voiced
Batman off and on. Hearing his voice behind the cape and cowl again was truly the highlight for me, the animation was just
icing on the cake.
Definitely check out this DVD if you are a Batman fan, or just looking for really cool animation and good
action.
